Sacred to the Memory of William Thomas Beeby, Esq. Who for many years both in England and India Adorned the doctrine of God his Saviour in all things. Being diligent in business, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord and who after an illness of only a few hours, expired in peace; deeply lamented by a beloved wife, a numerous family and an extensive circle of friends Died 1st March 1842 aged 46 years 8 months and 14 days. 'Take heed, watch and pray, for ye know not when the time is.' (Mark, xiii. 33)
