son of William Pagan, Esq., Curriestanes, Stewartry of Kirkcudbright. Assistant Surgeon James Pagan was appointed in the Judicial and Revenue Department, under date the 9th instant to perform the medical duties of the Civil Station of Midnapore, vice-assistant Surgeon J. O'Dwyer, placed at his own request, at the disposal of His Excellency, the Commander-in-Chief. Appointed as Assistant Surgeon on 7th March 1832.
