He, presumably, worked for the East India Company in Calcutta; From his burial records, it can be seen that he was born in 1817; On 19.07.1841 Robert Gibbs Kingdom, Esquire, H.C.S, Married Maria M. Steers in Calcutta; On 29.07.1843 a daughter was born in Calcutta and on 17.06.1845 a son was born in Calcutta named George Archibald Kingdom.
