His will is available in the India Office Records and shows that he owned 2900 rupees worth of government securities, a rented bungalow in Bhagulpore and watches valued at 3500. He also had an outstanding amount of 10525 rupees lent out. It appears that a certain Lewis Balfour and a Julien Carrau stood surety for him (he is buried in the same tomb as many members of a Carrau family).
