Rachel Marshman Riddle was possibly related to the Marshmans of Serampore. James Riddle is listed as being married to a S. Deacon,the grand-niece of Joshua Marshman, the Serampore missionary (see The Asiatic Journal and Monthly Register for British and Foreign India, China and Australasia. Allen, 1841.).
